A full review and photos will be published here in August.

Next Event

In October we will be hosting the Fir Vale Day of Celebration at Fir Vale School, on a date to be confirmed.

The new, income generating projects which compliment our existing raft of events in the Burngreave area represent a move away from being funding dependent in the future. We aim to generate a sustainable income by offering quality entertainment for the family, with an environmental theme.

key to the planing and development is the feedback and support we have received from the community of Burngreave. The team at Green City Events look forward to seeing you there.

EVENTS PAST AND PRESENT

Green City Action has been producing events in the Burngreave area for over nine years. The first event to be produced was the Award Winning Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival in 1999. These events are as follows:

In addition to the above events Green City Action has also co produced the following events / projects over the last two years:

Local involvement

The Events Department works closely with members of the community to plan, organise and deliver shows and projects for the Burngreave area. Local people have lent their support in the following areas:

The aim of our events is to provide an opportunity for the community of Burngreave to gather and meet each other in a harmonious environment, where people can share food, experience art and culture, learn new skills and crafts and celebrate the wonderful and diverse community in which they live.

Funding

Funding has come from a variety of sources over the last 10 years. Most notably from the Burngreave Area Panel and the Burngreave New Deal for Communities. These organisations provided the main source of funds for the initial Burngreave Multicultural Events project to produce the main raft of events for the last three-years. The additional funding for this project has come from the following sources:
